In 2010 following 8 years of flying east to Norway we got the chance to fly west to Canada when Kevin moved to the Calgary office in Alberta, Canada. The family all went to live in Signal Hill suburb of Calgary with a great view of the Canadian Rockies from the back garden.
For 4 years we visited each year in summer and winter months and saw the very best of that part of the world. On our first trip, after holidaying with Kevin Monica and Arne and Mina, we took the Rocky Mountaineer train from Calgary and visited Vancouver where we picked up a cruise to Alaska USA.
That trip included our first visits to Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise, Lake Maligne, the Columbia Glacier and Jasper - these would be regular places to visit in the following years. The train ride took us through the spectacular Rockies to Vancouver with a stop over in Kamloops BC. After a few days in Vancouver (on Robson Street) we took the Inside Passage cruise to Alaska on the Holland and America ship, Volendam and visited
